Quinnie came to me a young puppy from a home who got her and then realized she was too much to handle in a city suburb. She was actually too much for me to handle for about 2 years. She put me through the wringer. Quinn has now stepped into dual lead role with Arlo since Shiloh’s’s untimely passing by my neighbor. She is known as Da Queenie and she is all that with a crown.

Finn comes to SCMR from Florida. Sadly, his time was up and he needed a rescue to pull him. Thankfully, a rescue in Florida did despite his behaviors he presented that ended him up on the euthanasia list. He was adopted into another home with another husky, but Finn emerged again with his naughtiness and he needed somewhere to go.
Finn is learning what it is like to be a dog. Learning to play, learning to trust and most important SCMR has good food haha

Lottie Dee came to me from Texas from another rescue. The same rescue that sent Lana and Micah. Lottie Dee is a firecracker and she displayed some naughty behaviors while in Texas. Her rescue asked if she could come to sanctuary at SCMR. I obliged and this little girl has made me laugh everyday since she has arrived. She is around 7 years old now, but still causes the most chaos in the group.

Star is a petite little girl who is full of spunk. She came from an owner who rescued her from a family who didn’t have the time. He soon realized that he energy level were more than he could also handle so he brought her to sanctuary. Star LOVES Quiggie more than anything and he loves every moment. She can also get Da Quinnie going into a game of chase at any given moment.
Rain March Sponsorship
Rain came to me from a loving family that adopted her through a rescue who pulled her from Texas. She was placed into a home with other dogs, but one was a small dog. Rain can be territorial over food and the small dog got too close. Small dog was fine, but a risk was there.
Rain is a good girl and just needs to be fed in a crate by herself. She does amazing with the Pomksy Terrors so she has seemed to overcome that. Rain is a big girl and has a lot of power, but she is also one of the most sensitive girls in the pack.

Elvis is a hunka hunka burn’in love who came to me from another rescue. He was sadly a part of a hoarding situation. Elvis was only around 1 year when he came, so he needed some guidance. He had been adopted into a home prior to arriving with me, but one children were triggering for his excitement that he didn’t know how to control. Elvis is now a sanctuary dog at SCMR. He still has some excitable behaviors that I need to keep in check, but he is still young around 2 years old.

Quiggie was rescued by some good samaritans who saw that he was to be euthanized the next day. They sent me a message through SCMR around 10 pm showing he was to be euthanized the following day. His profile stated he was a husky, so I asked them if they were able to get him, I’d bring him to SCMR. Quiggie to my surprise was a pomksy terror. He was up for adoption, but when insurance prices became too high, he became a sanctuary dog.
Bella Bean March Sponsorship
Bella Bean came to me from another rescue where she was not getting adopted. She had been there for sometime, but she is a shy girl and would hide in the back of her kennel when others approached her. Nobody wanted to adopt her. She was removed from the property she was living at after having to produce litter after litter due to her conditions were poor.
Bella Bean also was one of my adoptable dogs until I could not afford the liability insurance.
Bella Bean enjoys her couch time and does not participate in dog sledding.

Dobby came to me from another rescue after he displayed behaviors of resource guarding. He also arrived with a limp on his back right leg that turned into a torn CCL. One year later he tore the other. He now has both legs repaired and I hope he may enjoy some short trips on the dog sled team.

Huskey is a California boy who came to me from another rescue. He was found running on a busy highway in California after being dumped as a young puppy. A rescue took him in because his time was up and nobody adopted him. While in the care of the rescue, they discovered his prey drive was high and they had many farm animals. Their rescue wasn’t a safe option for him, so he came to live with me as a sanctuary dog. He is crazy, loves to swim, loves to run, and loves to snuggle.
